eat healthy together
Fruits and vegetables are essentials parts of everyone’s diet, but especially a growing child’s. Most fruits and vegetables are naturally low in calories and fat, making them a healthy choice anytime. They’re also full of water, fiber, vitamins and minerals and come in every color. Why should kids eat fruits and vegetables and what will happen if they don’t?
What your kids eat now will impact their health when they are older. The clogging of blood vessels (which leads to heart disease) begins in childhood. In addition, bones get weaker as we get older so if kids want strong bones as adults, they have to do their best to strengthen them when they are young. You can help your children choose to eat healthy NOW so they can live a long and healthy life, free of disease.
What happens if they choose not to eat fruits and vegetables? Chances are that what they are choosing to eat instead is junk food. When kids decide they don’t like fruits and vegetables and eat lots of junk food instead (sweets, fried foods, high fat foods), they are risking both their weight and their health. more eating healthy tips and articles
