ending childhood obesity starts with you
Childhood overweight affects every community in Delaware, with approximately 36% of our children are overweight or obese.
The health consequences of obesity are profound. Obesity can lead to diabetes, high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol, asthma, cancers, anxiety, depression, fatty liver disease, and sleep apnea.
It takes action from everyone. Parents, policy makers, school district leaders, child care providers, health care professionals, community members, and other leaders must work together to improve the motivation, ability, and opportunity for children to eat right, be physically active, and live a healthier life. take actionThrough the Campaign to Make Delaware's Kids the Healthiest in the Nation, you'll connect with others and learn how to take action in you community.
